Wind power is big business for Denmark. In 2016, the total value of Danish exports of wind energy products and services was DKK 55.6 billion, an increase of 16% from 2015, and the Danish wind industry today employs more than 30,000 people.
Denmark can not only maintain but also develop its global leadership in wind energy, if politicians, industry and academia agree to continue working together, as it has been the case over the past 40 years in a unique public-private collaboration. This report offers insights into the research and innovation priorities.
